WATCH: Miami’s Haley and Hanna Cavinder thank their mom for “everything good” in them
Haley and Hanna Cavinder appeared in a series of reels on Instagram, featuring their mom, Katie. The videos are aimed at capturing the persona of Katie Cavinder, highlighted through dances, skits and candid moments.
In one of the reels, Haley and Hanna Cavinder were covering the screen, dressed up in blue tank tops and shorts. As Dani Rose's song 'I Got It From My Mama' played in the background, the twins stepped towards the camera, revealing Katie behind them in the same outfit.
"Hopefully we get her genetics @hanna.cavinder #mom," Haley Cavinder captioned the post.
The video is a repost from the two sisters' mutual IG account, which they often use to showcase their collaborations. The original post came around Mother's Day in August 2024, garnering over 700k views.
This year, the twins stepped away from posting a reel on Mother's Day. Instead, they posted a set of pictures with Katie in a heartfelt message, calling her their biggest inspiration, best friend and rock on their mutual account.
Katie Cavinder has been the biggest role model for the Cavinder twins, especially during their rise to collegiate fame. The 52-year-old works as the senior executive business manager at her husband's Southwest Elevator Company, which she joined in 2009 as a repair and service coordinator.
Haley and Hanna Cavinder are the middle children of five kids. Their oldest sibling, Brooke, works as a nurse in Arizona.
Brandi, the second-eldest sister, is a business development manager at her father’s company. She also played basketball with the twins at Gilbert High School. The youngest sibling, Natalie, is a recruiter at AB Staffing Solutions in Arizona.
Katie was against Haley and Hanna Cavinder's decision to become social media influencers
Haley and Hanna Cavinder’s choice to become social media influencers did not sit well with Katie at first. She, alongside her husband, Tom, did not anticipate long-term benefits of social media.
"We were not big fans of it," Katie said in an exclusive with GQ. "My husband and I would be like, Why are you guys dancing around in front of your phone? How in the heck how are you going to make money from that?"
Nevertheless, the twins quickly earned one of the largest followings in the world of college sports. They have more than 5 million followers across Instagram, Twitter and TikTok, making for the second and third-largest individual fan bases.
