WATCH: UNC star RJ Davis dances and cooks in a fun vlog via IG after shooting struggles vs. Kansas

University of North Carolina veteran guard RJ Davis had an off-shooting performance in the team's loss to No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks last week. He went 3-of-15 from the field and 1-of-7 from 3-point range as No. 10 UNC fell a narrow 92-89 loss to the Jayhawks.

After the tough outing, the reigning ACC Player of the Year tried to bounce back by posting a fun vlog on Instagram. On Wednesday evening, Davis shared a lighthearted video of himself cooking and showing off his dance moves — a side of his personality that fans rarely get to see during the rigors of basketball season.

"Last first home game for Unk," RJ captioned the post.

The video also featured clips of Davis from his game this season against Elon, where he scored 24 points and contributed seven rebounds and seven assists in the 97-76 win.

RJ Davis reflects on UNC's strong comeback effort against Kansas

Despite the loss against Kentucky, RJ Davis was happy with UNC's second-half fight.

"I think we showed toughness, that was the main message in the halftime," RJ said postgame. "Going into halftime we were down about 15 and we showed that we could climb back and it took all 15 guys in that locker room."
"We climbed all the way back into the game so it shows that we have a lot of ways to go, but a lot of good things you can take away from this game."

The Tar Heels were trailing by 15 points against Kansas in the halftime. Hubert Davis' men started the second half strong, going on a 15-6 run at one point to erase the big deficit and eventually take the lead with just seven minutes left in the game.

However, the Tar Heels could not sustain that momentum as they fell to the Jayhawks 92-89 in a closely contested matchup on Friday at Allen Fieldhouse.

RJ Davis, who scored 16 points and dished four assists in the game, also stated that he is confident the team is on the right path.

"I think it’s a confidence booster for us," he said. "I think it just shows what we’re capable of, what we can improve on, what we struggled at and what we did well. I have a lot of belief in this team."

North Carolina returns to Chapel Hill on Nov. 15 to face the American Eagles. They play Hawaii next before beginning their Maui Invitational matchups.
