Weekly honors and milestones for Hannah Hidalgo

Hidalgo was named the AP Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Week 6. Her brilliance was on full display during Notre Dame’s 79-68 win over then-No. 2 UConn on Thursday.

Hannah Hidalgo scored 29 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out eight assists, coming close to a triple-double. It marked her 17th career game with at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. Her sharpshooting was also evident as she drained six 3-pointers to help secure the victory.

She followed this performance with a 27-point outburst in a one-sided win against Eastern Michigan. This marks the second time this season that Hidalgo has earned AP Player of the Week honors. Up next, Notre Dame will open its Atlantic Coast Conference schedule at home on Dec. 29 against Virginia.
