"We love you": When Kim Kardashian shared an unseen snap of Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan with her daughter North
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian shared an unseen image of her daughter North with Kiyan Anthony on March 7, 2024 on the high school hooper’s 17th birthday. Kardashian unleashed a few pictures from the vault, starting off with North and Anthony sitting on a wooden step in front of a toy collection.
The celebrity then posted an old image of her alongside the hooper.
"Happy 17th Birthday @kiyananthony. We love you!!!" Kim Kardashian quipped in the update.
Kardashian's connection with Anthony stems from his mother La La Anthony's friendship with the TV star.
"She's my best friend, so it's great to have a better friend that you can bounce ideas off of or say, 'What do you think about this?'" Anthony said of Kardashian per BET this past April.
Kardashian's wishes came during La La's day-long quest to celebrate her son. One of her tasks included posting about him on her Instagram, which she started off by posting a hilarious clip of the mother-son duo indulging in basketball and La La Anthony crediting her son's skills to her varsity experience.
Additionally, La La Anthony also made a mix of her camera roll videos and photos of Anthony, posting it on her social handle and showing gratitude for her motherhood.
Kiyan Anthony was not allowed to get his first tattoo until he turned 16
Growing up in a basketball household and aiming to be a professional hooper himself, Anthony developed an interest in tattoos. However, he was not permitted to get one by La La Anthony until his 16th birthday came along and his restriction was lifted.
Anthony opted to engrave “Creator of my own reality” on his left ankle, signifying control and choice towards his dreams. He got it done on his birthday and gets it touched up every 6-8 months to restore its original appearance.
Moreover, after becoming one of the top scorers in EYBL Peach Jam's PIT and declaring his top-6 list of preferred colleges this summer, Anthony went on an overseas trip to Japan with his mother.
Since then, the duo has been constantly updating fans on their endeavors, night outs, culture-learning activities, food choices, and plenty more through stories and posts. In one of the updates, Kiyan Anthony was seen with fresh ink, with La La Anthony's portrait engraved on his left arm.
