“We’re both not in the league”: Kiyan Anthony teases himself and dad Carmelo while discussing matchup against LeBron and Bronny James

In a recent interview with Overtime, Kiyan Anthony claimed that LeBron James and Bronny James would beat him and Carmelo Anthony in a 2v2 game. He perhaps had a point, considering LeBron James was still in the league while Carmelo Anthony is two years separated from his last NBA game.

Nevertheless, Carmelo Anthony displayed a contrasting opinion and left hilarious comments on Kiyan's interview clip that was shared on X/Twitter. Kiyan Anthony later revealed that he was teasing his dad with his statement, only to troll his father once again while sparking the discussion of the 2v2 father-son duel:

"I was trolling for real," Kiyan said while interviewing Carmelo. "But on a serious note, if you redo that what would the score be and why? Think they both in the league, none of us in the league," Kiyan said to playfully make things tougher on his dad.

While Carmelo Anthony claimed Bronny James has the talent to hold his own in a 1v1 battle, he quickly chucked LeBron James' chances by claiming that James would not participate.

The claim is similar to Anthony's recent interview with Jayson Tatum on his podcast, where he hinted at James' non-participation in a hypothetical 1v1 contest among Team USA players.

Kiyan Anthony has shortlisted his potential college programs

Kiyan Anthony is a four-star prospect in the 2025 talent class (ranked No. 27 nationally). As he nears his collegiate tenure, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard reportedly plans to visit Auburn, Indiana and Ohio State in September. He also plans to visit USC, but there is no definite timeline radiated by the youngster yet.

Moreover, Syracuse Orange – Carmelo Anthony's alma mater – and Florida Gators remain at the top of the list as Kiyan Anthony has already made official trips to both campuses. Additionally, he also has offers from Seton Hall, Providence, Illinois, Tennessee, Michigan, Dayton, Maryland, Arizona State, West Virginia and UCF.

Kiyan Anthony is an elite scorer with good positional size for a shooting guard and has a decent reach. He can shoot off the catch, can create shots for himself, has deep range, plays with confidence and is patient on the defensive end.
