“What she said”: Paige Bueckers supports teammate Kamorea Arnold’s latest NIL deal encouraging people to vote early

Kamorea Arnold had a special request for fans and Paige Bueckers voiced her support for the UConn sophomore. Arnold shared a video on Instagram on Thursday encouraging fans to vote in the 2024 Presidential Elections.

The sophomore guard is a partner with The Team, "a nonpartisan organization that creates award-winning programming focused on integrating civic engagement into college athletics," according to their website.

Arnold also shared that voting early saves time on the voting day, Nov. 5. Paige Bueckers shared her teammate's video to her Instagram story and added:

After a successful freshman season where she was one of the important pieces due to the injury-ridden upperclassmen, Kamorea (KK) Arnold will potentially take on more of a leadership role as a sophomore. She averaged 8.9 points, 3.1 rebounds 3.2 assists, and 2.3 steals in 30.3 minutes per game last year.

“I kind of carry myself differently in terms of I've been here before and let's see what we can do differently this year,” Arnold said in June about her role, per CT Insider. "This year, me being a point guard and another guard for them, I have to step out of my shell a little bit more and kind of be a voice."

Paige Bueckers prepares for her last shot at the NCAA championship

Bueckers made a healthy return from an ACL tear last season and led UConn to the Final Four. With the 2024-25 campaign being her final season with the Huskies, pressure is on the guard to win the NCAA championship.

Bueckers talked about dealing with people's expectations and delivering on them in an interview with Rebecca Lobo on Wednesday.

"It's a blessing. I never wanted to take it for granted," Paige Bueckers said. "Obviously, it can end up being pressure, it can end up being this weight you carry, but I feel like pressure is privilege and it's a blessing to be able to be in that position.
"It's everything that I wanted to be when I was younger to be at my best, to play basketball at a high level, to have this, obviously you don't want the attention all to yourself, but to be able to play at your prime just sort of comes with it."

The UConn Huskies will begin their 2024-25 season on Nov. 7 against Boston.
