Where does Carmelo Anthony’s son Kiyan Anthony rank in ESPN’s top 100 player rankings for class 2025?
Kiyan Anthony has been one of the most impressive guards in high school basketball this season. His exploits for Long Island Lutheran High (Brookville, New York) saw him take the 36th overall rank in the top 100 player rankings for the Class of 2025, per ESPN.
Kiyan is also the top ranked prospect in New York and the 7th best guard in the class, per 247Sports. He was one of the top stars for his father, Carmelo Anthony's EYBL team, Team Melo.
Although the team struggled in the 2024 EYBL, Kiyan stole the show for Team Melo. He averaged 27.8 minutes per game, during which he tallied 19.6 PPG, 4.6 RPG and 1.5 APG.
His shooting percentages in the tournament were also impressive, with 38.2% from the field, 25.8% from 3-point territory and 73.1% from the free-throw line.
Kiyan Anthony receives multiple offers from top college basketball teams
Kiyan Anthony's future is a subject of great interest and several colleges are looking to bring him to bolster their rosters for 2025. So far, he has received offers from Syracuse Orange, Florida State Seminoles, Dayton Flyers and Michigan Wolverines, among others. However, he has only made two official visits thus far.
Kiyan's first official visit came last October, when he visited the Seminoles. He followed it up one week later with a visit to Syracuse, where his father Carmelo enjoyed some glorious years in college basketball.
The USC Trojans have entered the race for Kiyan, making an offer on July 17 and swiftly arranging an official visit for September 14. While this is a clear signal of their intent, they could face stiff competition from Syracuse as Kiyan could extend his family's legacy in the program.
Carmelo Anthony is one of the best players to come out of Syracuse in recent history. He helped the Orange win its only NCAA Tournament in 2003 and went on to become one of the biggest stars in the NBA. In fact, the Orange also retired his No. 15 jersey soon after his call-up to the big leagues.
He made his mark with the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks, finishing with 28,289 points, 7,808 rebounds and 3,422 assists. Kiyan has some massive shoes to fill and will look to make the right decision on his future in the coming weeks.
