"Why was he hired to begin with": College hoops fans clown on Green Bay coach Doug Gottlieb after shocking loss to D2 "Nothing U"
Green Bay Phoenix coach Doug Gottlieb has had to eat some humble pie after his team lost to DII school Michigan Tech, whom Gottlieb referred to as "Nobody U" before the game. Fans have been quick to point out the glaringly obvious after "Nobody U" ended up winning.
Gottlieb hosts a radio show, and it was on that platform that he's quoted as saying that he doesn't know what they learn from beating a team by 20, referring to Michigan Tech. Fans jumped online to rub Gottlieb's nose in it after the embarrassing loss.

Doug Gottlieb and Green Bay lose to DII Michigan Tech
Gottlieb has managed to land himself in hot water twice recently with his bold comments. First, he went head-to-head with Adam Schefter on social media and got roasted for his team's poor performances this season, and now his team has fallen to a Division II opponent.
Last week, when asked about facing Michigan Tech, Gottlieb referred to the Huskies as "Nobody U" and suggested his team would beat them by 20 points. Fast forward to Wednesday, and Green Bay suffered a 70-72 loss to Michigan Tech, bringing their season record to 2-11.
The Phoenix entered the game ranked 326th out of 364 teams in KenPom. They’ve now dropped eight straight games, with their only wins this season coming against Western Illinois and Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville—neither of which are powerhouse programs.
Schefter suggested that Gottlieb spend less time on social media and more time in the gym getting his squad better.
