He will be following in the footsteps of his famous father, who led Syracuse to the NCAA title in 2003. After donning the Syracuse cap, Kiyan hugged his parents, who were both emotional following his announcement on 7PM in Brooklyn.

"It's emotional. You make me proud everyday and I just want you to know, me as your mom being proud of you is not based on you as a basketball player. It's based on you as a person," La La said.
"Just continue to be an amazing person and treat people well and you’re gonna go far in life, whether it’s in basketball or anything you put your mind to because you’re just incredible and I love you so much," La La said.
