Zaccharie Risacher 2024 mock draft: 5 landing sports for JL Bourg-en-Bresse forward
Zaccharie Risacher is among the top prospects heading into the 2024 NBA Draft, which is set to begin on Wednesday, June 26. This year will mark the first year that the draft is split into two days, as the second round will take place on Thursday, June 27.
Risacher will not have to worry about that later date, however, as he is likely to hear his name called in the lottery portion of the draft.
5 potential landing spots for Zaccharie Risacher in the 2024 NBA Draft
#1: Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks have yet to make a decision regarding the first overall pick. While they have not ruled out trading several players on their roster, including Trae Young and Dejounte Murray, and beginning a rebuild, that appears less likely with the draft less than 24 hours away. Barring any major move, Zaccharie Risacher could be the first player off the board.
#2: Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards are another potential destination for Zaccharie Risacher. Washington could use help across the roster and the JL Bourg-en-Bresse forward could be a strong fit.
#3: Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets have young talent throughout their roster and will likely draft whomever they believe to be the best player available. If Zaccharie Risacher falls to the third overall pick, it would not be a surprise to see him land with the Rockets.
#4: San Antonio Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs are one of two teams that have shown interest in trading up with Zaccharie Risacher, who is reportedly their target. San Antonio holds both the fourth and eighth overall picks in this year's draft; however, they could look to pair Victor Wembanyama with another rising French prospect.
#5: Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies are the other team that has reportedly expressed interest in moving towards the top of the draft. Despite a down year, Memphis has several young building blocks in Ja Morant, Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr.
They may not be back in the draft lottery next season and could look to take advantage by targeting Zaccharie Risacher, who many believe is the best player in this year's class.
The French forward is among several players in contention to be the first overall pick.
If he is drafted that high, it would mark just the second time in league history that foreign-born players are selected first overall in back-to-back years—the San Antonio Spurs selected Victor Wembanyama first overall in the 2023 NBA Draft.
In 65 games across all competition last season, Risacher averaged 11.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.5 blocks in 23.3 minutes per game. He shot 47.0% from the field, 38.7% from three-point range, and 70.7% from the free-throw line. Take a look at five potential landing spots for him below.
