Seattle Storm PG Nika Muhl's sister, Hana Muhl, shares “gameday smiles” ahead of season opener vs Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Seattle Storm point guard Nika Muhl's sister, Hana Muhl, had some words of positivity ahead of Manhattan Jaspers's season opener against Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Monday night. Looking forward to the game, the junior guard posted a story on her Instagram page with the message, "gameday smiles."

Manhattan will take on the Scarlet Knights at the Jersey Mike's Arena in Piscataway, New Jersey. Manhattan will also have a trip to the Central Connecticut Blue Devils and a home game against the LIU Sharks to look forward to following its season opener.

A new season brings new hope, so the Jaspers will try to improve on their 18-12 record from last season.

The recent emergence of Hana Muhl with the Manhattan Gaspers

Hana Muhl was a solid rotational player for the Ball State Cardinals in the 2023-24 season. The Croatian guard was involved in 34 games, playing 13.2 minutes while averaging 2.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game.

The Zagreb-born talent shot the ball well from 3-point range, making 44.1% of her tries last season. However, she made just 72.4% of her free throws. Muhl has to find a way to improve her free-throw shooting to mature as a basketball player this year.

It remains to be seen whether Manhattan Jaspers coach Heather Vulin can get the best out of Hana Muhl this season. Muhl has a lot of room for improvement in her game and could benefit from playing regularly.

Muhl has a chance to shine for the Manhattan Jaspers when they face the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Monday. A win could set the stage for Manhattan to have a successful season.
