Top 10 active NCAA women's basketball scorers feat. Aneesah Morrow, Haley Cavinder, Hailey Van Lith and more

Scoring points is expected in the game of basketball, even in NCAA women's basketball. But to do it at a high volume is a highly-regarded skill.

Women's basketball got to see many college players shine under the bright lights over the past few decades, from the likes of Jackie Stiles, Cheryl Miller, Maya Moore, Elena Delle Donne, Brittney Griner, Kelsey Plum, Kelsey Mitchell, among many others.

Even with Caitlin Clark departed, who's the all-time leading NCAA scorer as she is now in the WNBA, there are still plenty of high-volume scorers who are still active in the college game.

Here are the 10 active scorers in NCAA women's basketball this season:

10. Deja Kelly - Oregon (1,984 points)

Kelly left a strong impact on North Carolina before departing for the Oregon Ducks, spending four seasons with the Tar Heels as she left as the program's eighth-best scorer all-time. She also led them to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances, reaching the Sweet Sixteen in 2022.

This season with Oregon, she is putting up 10.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on 38% shooting from the field. She scored a season-high 21 points against South Dakota State on Nov. 26.


9. Jerkaila Jordan - Mississippi State (1,994 points)

Jordan has showcased herself as a capable scorer and rebounder over the years, making significant contributions to the Hail State.

At Tulane and Mississippi State, she has received much recognition for her efforts. She won AAC Freshman of the Year and landed on the All-AAC First Team in 2021 while getting named to the All-SEC Second Team in 2024.

Jordan is averaging 14.9 points, seven rebounds, and 2.7 assists on 42.6% shooting from the field this season. She has reached the 20-point mark six times, putting up a season-high 25 points against Georgia Tech on Dec. 4.


8. Peyton Scott - Oregon (2,005 points)

Scott has repped two teams throughout her NCAA career, mainly with the former at Miami (Ohio).

She played four seasons with her first team, finishing fourth in the program's all-time scoring list while earning All-MAC honors in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Moving on to Oregon in 2023, she saw her first season with the Ducks cut short due to injury, delaying her progress as a volume scorer.

Making a successful recovery from injury, Scott is putting up 11 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists on 45.5% shooting overall and 36.6% from downtown. She scored a season-high 23 points against Washington State on Dec. 4.


7. Georgia Amoore - Kentucky (2,009 points)

At Virginia Tech and Kentucky, Amoore has impressed throughout her NCAA career.

After four years with the Hokies, she finished third on the program's all-time scoring list. She also collected multiple honors, including being named an All-American by the Associated Press, being nominated for the John R. Wooden Award, and being named one of five finalists for the Nancy Lieberman Award.

In her first season with the Wildcats, Amoore is putting up 16.3 points, seven assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.2 steals on 39% shooting from the field. She has reached 20 points five times, having a season-high 23 points against Purdue Fort Wayne on Nov. 18 and Belmont on Dec. 20.


6. Hailey Van Lith - TCU (2,170 points)

Throughout her career with three programs, Van Lith has proven that she can produce at a high level anywhere in NCAA women's basketball.

At her first two stops with Louisville and TCU, she played a key role in the teams' runs to the Elite Eight, including the Final Four with the Cardinals in 2021. She is also the only active Division I player who has tallied at least 1,900 career points, 500 rebounds, and 350 assists.

Now, with the TCU Horned Frogs, Van Lith is averaging 19.5 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.7 rebounds on 46.7% shooting from the field and 30.4% from three. She has scored 20 or more points six times, putting up a season-high 27 points against Idaho State on Nov. 24.


5. Haley Cavinder - Miami (2,264 points)

Cavinder is known for her talent as one of the best players in NCAA women's basketball.

Throughout her time at Fresno State and Miami, she has showcased herself as a high-level scorer who can impose herself as a threat in any league she is in. She won Mountain West Freshman of the Year in 2020, Mountain West Player of the Year in 2021, and was named All-ACC Second Team in 2023.

This season, Cavinder is putting up 18.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and five assists on 49.4% shooting from the field and 22.8% from deep. She has reached 30 points twice, scoring 31 against the Florida Gators on Nov. 16.


4. Ioanna Krimili - California (2,292 points)

At San Francisco and California, Krimili has impressed throughout her NCAA career.

She garnered plenty of recognition as one of the best players in the West Coast Conference and the Pac-12, being the WCC Newcomer of the Year in 2021, landing on the All-WCC First Team three times, and most recently getting a Honorable Mention from the Pac-12.

In her second season with the Golden Bears, Krimili is averaging 15.4 points, 3.6 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals on shooting splits of 44.2% overall and 42.4% from beyond the arc. She scored 20 or more points twice so far, with her highest being 22 against Stanford on Dec. 13.


3. Ayoka Lee - Kansas State (2,392 points)

Lee has been recognized by many as one of the best players in the country throughout her career. She was on the Wade Trophy Watch List (2021, 2022, 2024 & 2025), the Wooden Award Watch List (2021, 2022, 2024 & 2025), the Women’s Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Watch List (‘21, ‘22, ‘24 & '25), and the Lisa Leslie Award Watch List (2021, 2022, 2024 & 2025) as well.

She is also in the record books of NCAA history, setting the record for points in a single game when she scored 61 in a 94-65 against No. 14 Oklahoma in January 2022. She has received Preseason awards from multiple outlets, particularly being expected to win Player of the Year from the Big 12 this season.

Lee has played her entire career at Kansas State, with this season seeing her put up 18 points, 6.4 rebounds, and over two blocks on 66.7% shooting from the field. She is coming off a 34-point display against New Mexico State on Dec. 18.


2. Aneesah Morrow - LSU (2,434 points)

Morrow has sustained recent success in the last two years, receiving All-America Honorable Mentions, First Team All-SEC, and being a finalist for the Cheryl Miller Award.

Morrow has gone through her fourth season, having averaged 20.8 points and 12.2 rebounds throughout her career. Not only is she a double-double machine, but she also makes shots at an efficient rate, converting 46.9% of her chances from the field and 25% from three.

This year, she is putting up 18.3 points and 14 rebounds on 52.4% shooting overall. She has 12 double-doubles to her tally so far, with her season-high in points being 26 against Grambling on Dec. 8.


1. Katelyn Young - Murray State (2,469 points)

At the top of the active NCAA list is Young of the Murray State Racers.

Young has a career average of 18.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists throughout five seasons with the program. Her shooting splits involve an accuracy of 52.9% from the field and 32.8% from beyond the arc.

After eight games this season, Young is putting up 18.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. She has reached the 20-point mark five times, with her season-high being 25 points against Saint Louis on Dec. 3.
