Flau'jae Johnson led LSU to a dominant win against Northwestern State Demons
Flau'jae Johnson had a great game for LSU in their dominant 95-36 win over the Northwestern State Demons recently. The gifted guard carried most of the offensive workload for her team as she scored 24 points while posting seven boards and two dimes.
Johnson had adequate support from her teammates after Mikaylah Williams dropped 16 points and Kailyn Gilbert scored 13 off the bench. Thus, the LSU star had every reason to enjoy her time with her friends following the big win.
Flau'jae Johnson's appearance on ESPN's College GameDay this weekend
On Saturday, ESPN's College GameDay was situated in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for Week 11 of college football. The program featured analysis, highlights and interviews covering the college football clash between LSU Football and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Flau'jae Johnson was in attendance as she joined the show for a quick interview. The talented guard is enjoying her third season at LSU and has been a regular starter for them following her freshman year. She has proven herself a must-see attraction this season due to her elite scoring and ability to get rebounds.
Johnson has continued her gradual progression at LSU after averaging 14.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in the 2023-24 season.
Her numbers have improved so far but it won't be easy for her to continue to score at such a high clip while maintaining her dominance on the defensive end of the floor.
Kim Mulkey's team has made a 2-0 winning start in this campaign. It remains to be seen whether the LSU Tigers can continue their good form by picking up another victory when they lock horns with Charleston Southern Buccaneers this coming Tuesday.
Johnson will undoubtedly be the player to watch out for in that game. She could grow into a top WNBA star in the future if Mulkey can find a way to unlock her true potential.
