WATCH: Miami's Cavinder twins and Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson share a fun TikTok in support of Georgia QB Carson Beck
Miami Hurricanes' Hanna and Haley Cavinder teamed up with Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson on TikTok to support Georgia quarterback Carson Beck. This came hours before the No. 5-seed Bulldogs take on No. 1 Texas Longhorns in a marquee college football clash on Saturday at the DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium.
The twin sisters posted a nine-second clip with Ferguson and the twins' dog Harvey. They are set to cheer for Hanna's boyfriend, Carson Beck, who will call the plays for Georgia (5-1, 3-1 in SEC) in this all-important SEC showdown against the still-unbeaten Texas (6-0, 2-0 in SEC).
The post titled "my squadddd>> #football" has generated more than 3,500 likes and 40 comments.
Carson Beck has been performing well with Georgia this season, recording 1,818 yards passing and 15 touchdowns. He has been the catalyst of the Bulldogs' rise in the 2024-25 college football season and a win against the Longhorns on Sunday would cause monumental changes in next week's rankings.
On the other hand, Jake Ferguson is playing his third season for the NFL's Dallas Cowboys. The tight end has caught for 240 yards and averaged 9.6 yards per catch in five games this season.
Haley and Hanna Cavinder get ready for the 2024-25 college basketball season
Haley and Hanna Cavinder are set for their fifth season with the Miami Hurricanes after having a break last season. The twins have been preparing extensively for the 2024-25 college basketball season as the Hurricanes are part of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Of the two, Haley Cavinder had a better 2022-23 season with Miami, averaging 12.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in 35 games. She shot 40.7% from the field including 40.4% from the 3-point line. On the other hand, Hanna tallied 3.8 ppg, 1.3 rpg and 1.6 apg in 34 games during the 2022-23 season.
The Cavinder sisters will embark on their second season with the Hurricanes after playing for three seasons with Fresno State. They will have a new coach in Tricia Cullop, who replaced longtime Miami coach Katie Meier.
Miami looks to bounce back on their 2023-24 campaign where they had a 19-12 record and 8-10 in ACC play. They weren't selected to compete in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and declined an invitation to take part in the first Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament.
The Hurricanes will take on Stetson in their opener on Nov. 4 at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida.
