10 best Big Ten players in EA Sports College Football 25 ft. Will Johnson
The Big Ten has a healthy presence in EA Sports College Football 25. With the defending national champions Michigan Wolverines, No. 2 overall Ohio State Buckeyes and plenty more top schools, the league is well represented. But what about the players? Notably, 10 of the game's top 30 ranked players are from the Big Ten.
Here a closer look at the top 10 players from the Big Ten in College Football 25.
Top 10 Big Ten Players in College Football 25
#10. Dillon Gabriel, Oregon (92)
The lone quarterback on the list, Gabriel passed for nearly 15,000 yards between three years at UCF and two more at Oklahoma. Putting him into Dan Lanning's attack at Oregon could be almost unfair. CF25 has a healthy respect for the veteran passer with a 92 overall rating.
#9. Jack Sawyer, Ohio State (92)
The senior is the only defensive end on the list. Last year, Sawyer had 48 tackles and 10 tackles for loss for Ohio State. It's arguable that his bookend, J.T. Tuimoloau, could be here instead of Sawyer, but both Buckeyes are deserving. Sawyer also has a 92 overall rating in the game.
#8. Aironte Ersery, Minnesota (93)
A two-year starter at left tackle, Ersery is the lone Gopher and the lone offensive lineman on the list, rated 93 overall. He was all-Big Ten last year and should make life easier for P.J. Fleck and his team.
#7. TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State (93)
Henderson is the second-highest-rated running back in the Big Ten, and on his own team, at 93 overall. Injuries have been the only thing that could stop the senior, who had 1,248 yards as a freshman in 2021. Last year, he finished with 926. If Henderson can stay on the field and get enough carries, he's sure to produce.
#6. Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State (93)
Yet another Buckeye, Egbuka is the only wide receiver on the list. The senior, rated 93 overall, struggled at times last year, finishing with just 41 catches for 515 yards. In 2022, he had 1,151 yards receiving, which is a little more than his usual pace.
#5. Jay Higgins, Iowa (94)
The senior linebacker had 171 tackles last year. Higgins is undoubtedly the top linebacker in the Big Ten and is the only Hawkeye on this list. Given how important tackling is in the game, he's a veritable College Football 25 legend with a 94 overall rating.
#4. Quinshon Judkins, Ohio State (95)
A transfer from Ole Miss, Judkins is the top running back on this list with a 95 overall rating. He had 1,158 yards last season for Lane Kiffin's team, and will likely be even better behind Ohio State's offensive line. The only question on Judkins is whether he'll get enough carries to show how good he is.
#3. Mason Graham, Michigan (95)
The powerful junior defensive tackle is one of the best in the country at his spot. A year ago, Graham finished with 35 tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss. At around 317 pounds, he's a physical force to be reckoned with, and CF25 recognized that, making him the No. 8 player in the entire nation with a 95 overall rating.
#2. Caleb Downs, Ohio State (95)
The Alabama transfer is the lone safety on this list also with a 95 overall rating. He was brilliant a season ago, finishing with 107 tackles and breaking up six passes. Combine his talent with some lockdown corners and you get an idea why Ohio State is No. 2 in the team rankings on College Football 25.
#1. Will Johnson, Michigan (96)
Johnson isn't just the top-rated player in the Big Ten, he's also the highest-rated player in the entire game. The 6-foot-2 junior cornerback had 27 tackles and eight passes defended, including four interceptions a year ago. College Football 25 decided Johnson was the best of the best and rated him accordingly at 96 overall.
