#10. Julian Sayin, Ohio State

We haven't seen Sayin yet, but his reputation and the chance to learn offense at Ohio State means he'll make his statement well ahead of the 2027 Draft. For some of these players, patience matters. Sayin is one of those.

#9. DJ Lagway, Florida

Lagway saw some time off the bench, going 3 for 6 for 31 yards and an interception in UF's loss to Miami. With an injury to Graham Mertz, Lagway will get his first start in Week 2.

#8. Ellis Robinson, Georgia

A superb young defensive back, Robinson played sparingly in Week 1, making just one tackle. But the 6-foot frosh is so speedy and skilled that he's all but guaranteed to show more in the season to come.

#7. KJ Bolden, Georgia

A freshman safety, Bolden had four tackles in his first game with Georgia. His immediate upside is impressive. Seeing the field for Georgia bodes well for Bolden and his chances in the 2027 NFL Draft.

#6. Jordan Seaton, Colorado

One of the nation's top offensive line prospects, Seaton was an obvious day one starter at Colorado. The Buff offensive line was awful a season ago, so plug Seaton in at tackle and improvement follows. The big man is a future first-round pick.

#5. Cam Coleman, Auburn

A 6-foot-3 wideout, Coleman has already made an impression. He caught a pair of passes for 62 yards and a score in Week 1. Coleman looks like the next star SEC wideout at Auburn.

#4. Dylan Raiola, Nebraska

Few true frosh QBs are already running offenses, but Raiola was a clear exception. In week 1, he was 19 for 27 passing for 238 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His Week 2 battle with Colorado should be interesting.

#3. Dylan Stewart, South Carolina

At 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds, Stewart is an athletic freak of an edge rusher. In his first college game, he had four tackles, 1.5 sacks and forced a pair of fumbles. He's a future NFL star.

#2. Ryan Williams, Alabama

One of the challenges of the season is figuring out how Alabama's players will adjust to Kalen DeBoer's office. In the case of true freshman Ryan Williams, the early answer is "very well." Williams caught only two passes in his first game but he gained 139 yards, taking each reception for a touchdown. He certainly had a promising start.

#1. Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State

The early standout of the group, Smith wasn't just a day one starter at Ohio State. He was the leading receiver in his first game, snagging six receptions for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The 6-foot-3 frosh is already a star.
