3 Big Ten teams with worst ratings in College Football 25 ft. Illinois
With the amazing success of EA Sports College Football 25, millions of fans are returning to playing NCAA-level football on their consoles after a decade-long hiatus.
The Big Ten has been central to Electronic Arts' marketing campaign, with Michigan's Donovan Edwards being on the cover of the game. Not only that, but the top-rated player of the game is a Wolverine. 96-rated Will Johnson.
In College Football 25, the kings of the Big Ten are the Oregon Ducks and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Both schools have an overall rating of 93, which is surprisingly higher than that of the current national champion, Michigan, at 88.
But here we are taking a look at exactly the opposite: the three worst-rated Big Ten teams in College Football 25.
3 worst-rated Big Ten teams in College Football 25
#1 Michigan State Spartans: OVR 80
The Spartans beat the Maryland Terrapins by a narrow margin. Michigan State earned the spot due to the fact that even though both schools share the same overall rating (80), the Terrapins have an 80-rated defense.
On the other hand, both Spartan units are sub-80 (offense 78, defense 76). Michigan State's top player is 87-rated center Tanner Miller.
#2 Illinois Fighting Illini: OVR 80
Illinois' 75-rated offense is the glaring weakness in the school's ratings. Not only that, but their defensive rating of 78 is surprisingly weak for a school with a history of strong defense.
Left tackle J.C. Davis and center backs Tyler Strain and Terrance Brooks are the highest-rated players in the school, with a rating of 84.
#3 Northwestern Wildcats: OVR 80
The biggest surprise is how the Wildcats even got an 80 overall rating. It would seem that 80 is the minimum overall rating for a Power Five school, as the Wildcats' offensive rating of 73 doesn't make much sense with the overall rating. Defensive back Coco Azema, with an overall rating of 86, is their top player.
