3 Texas A&M players who could give Billy Napier hard time in Week 3 ft. Le'Veon Moss
Billy Napier and the Florida Gators take on Texas A&M on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. Both teams come into the game with a 1-1 record, rebounding in Week 2 after losing in Week 1.
However, for Florida, a win against Samford does not soften the blow of getting blown out by Miami in Week 1. There's pressure on the team to win this week. With that in mind, some key Texas A&M players could cause trouble.
3 Texas A&M players who could cause trouble for Billy Napier and the Gators
Texas A&M is coming off a 52-10 win over McNeese State and many players had breakout games. Many of those players could cause trouble for Billy Napier in the upcoming game.
#1 Le'Veon Moss
Running back Le'Veon Moss is a key asset for the Aggies offense. With Rueben Owens out for the season with a lower-body injury, Moss and teammate Amari Daniels will get most of the running back duties this season. Through two games, Moss looks like he is going to get the most touches.
He has 29 carries for 154 yards, giving him an average of 5.3 yards per carry. His longest rush was 31 yards, and he has scored three touchdowns. Florida struggled to stop Miami's rush attempts, and likewise, Moss could be a problem for Billy Napier.
#2 Taurean York
Linebacker Taurean York burst onto the scene last season, unexpectedly starting all 13 games and getting named a freshman All-American by ESPN. Now he is back on the team for his sophomore season and has much higher expectations.
Through two games this season, it does not look like York has missed a step. He has contributed to 13 total tackles, four of which were solo. He has been a stable and consistent force for the Aggies. His strong defensive play could be a problem for Billy Napier.
#3 Cyrus Allen
Coming into the season, it was not clear who would be the go-to receiver for Conner Weigman. While nothing is set in stone yet, Cyrus Allen has done a good job. He has seven receptions and 100 yards through two games. He averages 14.3 yards per catch.
Playing against a Florida defense that was bad at protecting against the pass last season could cause trouble for Napier.
