The Oregon Ducks will be in their first season as members of the Big Ten Conference in 2024 after relocating from the Pac-12. This will make their matchup at home against Ohio State a conference matchup that takes place in Week 6.

Both teams are expected to be two of the top teams in college football this season. It makes this game a matchup with potential College Football Playoff or Big Ten championship implications.

Ducks QB Dillon Gabriel and Buckeyes QB Will Howard are both in their first seasons with their respective programs after transferring this off-season. Both of these teams will have different-looking leaders on the field from prior years, but the expectations for both programs remain sky-high.

Texas at Michigan, Sep. 7

Texas was just one win away from matching up against Michigan for the CFP National Championship last season. But they fell just short with a 37-31 loss to Washington in the Sugar Bowl.

Even though both teams will look different from last season, the big house will be rocking as fans will get a glimpse of what that potential matchup could have looked like.

Quarterback Quinn Ewers will return to lead the Longhorns this season but will be without some of his top weapons at receiver, including Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell. The Michigan Wolverines offense will also look very different after losing players such as JJ McCarthy, Blake Corum, and Roman Wilson to the NFL.

Georgia at Alabama, Sep. 28

Fans will not have to wait long to see a 2023 SEC Championship game rematch when Georiga and Alabama clash early in Week 4 of the 2024 college football season.

These two SEC powerhouses meet in Tuscaloosa after Alabama's 27-24 victory in last year's SEC Championship to earn their spot in the College Football Playoff.

Quarterbacks Carson Beck and Jalen Milroe both return for another season to lead their programs in 2024, and both teams will have dominant defense units once again. This matchup puts two early national championship contenders against each other and could have major implications later in the season.

Kyle Field and the home of the 12th man will be deafening when these in-state rivals meet for the first time since 2011. With Texas moving from the Big 12 to the SEC beginning in the 2024 college football season, this rivalry is set to be restored.

Quinn Ewers and Texas A&M QB Conner Weigman will lead their offensive units into battle during the final week of the regular season. Fans have seen many memorable primetime late-season games from one of the top atmospheres in college football, and this matchup promises to be another.

Michigan and Ohio State will face-off late in the college football season once again in what is known as 'The Game'. The Buckeyes will host this contest in 2024 and are searching for their first victory over their rival, the Wolverines, since 2016.

The Buckeyes, led by head coach Ryan Day, have added QB Will Howard, RB Quinshon Judkins, WR Jeremiah Smith, and FS Caleb Downs as major weapons.

On the other side, Michigan has experienced a number of changes, beginning with the departure of head coach Jim Harbaugh. The latter will be succeeded by former offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore.

They will still have a large portion of their potent defense. This includes Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant on the defensive line and CB Will Johnson back for another season.
