7 best Dynasty Mode challenges to try in College Football 25
EA Sports' College Football 25 draws players from a variety of experience and interest levels. But one thing almost universally in common is the love of Dynasty Mode. The chance to run a team for up to 30 years is nearly irresistible to many players. But here are seven challenges to try in Dynasty mode.
7 best Dynasty Mode challenges to try in College Football 25
#1. Go back-to-back
Winning a national title won't be easy on CFB25 any more than it is in real life. You'll have to rebuild on the fly, avoid stacking recruits too deep to draw the next great class, and steer through the transfer portal and NFL draft early entrants.
But while any player with a good team can win a title, it demonstrates some special skill to go back-to-back for national titles in College Football 25.
#2. Build up a program, then build up another
Of course, players who like challenges will tire of taking already great teams to glory. They'll perhaps move to one and two-star schools and see if they can build them up to national prominence.
But here's a fun twist. Take one of those teams to a title and then move on to another job at another lower-tier school. As with back-to-back titles, any job worth doing is worth doing twice.
#3. Take down Oklahoma's streak
The longest college football winning streak in the sport's modern era is 47 in a row by the Oklahoma Sooners in the mid-1950s. Besting the Sooners will take somewhere beyond three perfect seasons. Only a truly dominant player can put together a streak like that. But along the same lines...
#4. See if you can equal or surpass Saban's seven rings
In his time at LSU and Alabama, Nick Saban won a total of seven national titles. It's the record in the sport's era of defining national titles on the field. But even Saban didn't win titles in an era of a 12-team College Football Playoff.
Besting seven national championships in a 30-year run will take plenty of skill and plenty of time. It's an achievement deserving of Hall of Fame recognition, even for a video gamer.
#5. Recruiting limitations
For players who are dominating the game, there are some fun ways to up the difficulty level. Decide not to recruit five-star prospect anymore, or to recruit only in-state players. Anyone with a little imagination can tailor recruiting restrictions to make the game tougher than usual.
#6. Change coordinators and/or styles
Another high-level challenge is to remake your team year to year either in style or in assistant coaches. Head coaches can keep or fire offensive and defensive coordinators every year. So if the game gets too easy, see if you can move from an Air Raid attack to a triple option team. Or from a 3-3-5 defense to a 4-3 look.
#7. Up the level of difficulty
The bottom line is that difficulty level is the ultimate equalizer in College Football 25. Winning on the Heisman level will always be a challenge. Only a truly experienced and skilled player will be able to find success in Dynasty Mode on that difficulty setting. Good luck to any who are brave (or foolish) enough to try.
