ACC power rankings after Week 6: Miami reigns the throne while FSU loses playoff hopes
The college football season is in full swing as the calendar approaches the halfway mark entering Week 7. The ACC has been playing good football in the early stages. Over the first six weeks, the conference has gone 61-33 overall and 41-13 in non-conference games.
There are four ACC teams ranked in the latest rendition of the AP Top 25 Poll, with two of those teams ranked in the top 10. Two additional programs were among the others receiving votes, giving six of the ACC's 17 teams recognition from voters.
The No. 6-ranked Miami (FL) Hurricanes lead the way as they are 6-0 and 2-0 in conference play. Meanwhile, the Florida State Seminoles, who were the conference's highest-ranked team in the preseason AP Top 25 Poll at No.10, continued their tough season as they fell to 1-5, including a 1-4 mark in ACC play.
Conference play began to heat up in Week 6, with 16 of the ACC's 17 teams facing a conference opponent. With the expanded postseason field of 12 teams likely guaranteeing the conference at least one postseason seed - and likely a first-round bye - take a look at the conference's power rankings after Week 6 below.
