App State starting quarterback Joey Aguilar will get the nod in Week 4 versus South Alabama, after strong performances through the Mountaineers' first three games of the season.
The senior quarterback is playing in his second season as the starter for App State after an explosive junior season campaign in 2023-24. Aguilar completed 63.7% of his passes for 3,757 yards and 33 touchdowns with 10 interceptions in his first season as the starter.
Joey Aguilar's performance in the first three games of the 2024-25 season
Aguilar has continued to post impressive numbers to start his 2024-25 campaign in a big way. In the season opener, Aguilar completed 22 of 36 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns in the 38-10 win versus ETSU.
Despite App State's blowout loss to Clemson in Week 2, Joey Aguilar continued his solid play, throwing for 214 yards and a toucdown without an interception. In the close game last week, Aguilar completed 32 of 47 passes for 424 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions, his only turnovers of the season thus far.
