Cam Ward 2025 NFL Draft stock: 3 best suited teams for Miami QB after failing to win Heisman

Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward was a finalist for the 2024 Heisman Trophy but did not win it. However, he had a spectacular season to help lead the Hurricanes to a 10-win campaign.

Ward also led the NCAA with an 88.0 QBR while completing 293-of-435 (67.4%) of his passes for 4,123 yards and 36 touchdowns to seven interceptions. He added 58 rushing attempts for 196 yards (3.4 yards per carry) with four rushing touchdowns.

But, which NFL teams should target him in the 2025 NFL Draft? Let's look at some teams that would benefit from landing Ward.

Cam Ward 2025 NFL Draft best teams

New York Jets

The New York Jets are among the best fits if the organization wants to take a unique direction. It would benefit Cam Ward if he sat during his rookie season and learned about the NFL before getting a start. If the Jets wanted to keep Aaron Rodgers for 2025, the new coaching staff and front office could look at Ward as their future.

If they select Ward as the Day 1 starter, he would have several weapons at his disposal: wide receiver Garrett Wilson, running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Davante Adams (if they do not exercise the out in his contract).

New York Giants

The other team that inhabits MetLife Stadium is looking for a quarterback after releasing Daniel Jones and struggling with the combination of Drew Lock and Tommy Devito. Ward would have a good team with talent like wide receiver Malik Nabers, offensive tackle Evan Neal and running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. to build around on the offensive side of the field.

Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans need a better quarterback than Will Levis to climb out of the abyss. They are in a tough division with the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars, but the Titans' defense has stepped up and they have talent on offense.

Tennessee has wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Treylon Burks, and running back Tony Pollard to help him grow. They can grow with him and make this offense a lot better. Heading into Week 15 of the NFL season, the Titans are allowing the third-most sacks, so improving the offensive line will also help them with the quarterback spot.
