CFB insider names 7 ACC teams Brett Yormark could poach for his Big 12 expansion plans in latest wave of conference realignment

The ACC teams are currently in a weird position and their future is in flux with the Grant of Rights Agreement being ruled upon in court. Some of these teams will be part of the Big 12 expansion plans put forward by Commissioner Brett Yormark.

College football insider Greg Swaim posted on social media about which teams are more likely to be recruited from the ACC as part of the Big 12 expansion plans. He named seven: Clemson, FSU, Cardinals, Virginia Tech, Miami, Georgia Tech and NC State.

The ACC deadline that Swaim is referring to is the deadline for schools in the Atlantic Coast Conference to decide if they are going to be leaving the conference next year.

The ACC collapse has been widely discussed for a while. It will be intriguing to see if any of these teams do decide to leave ahead of the August 15 deadline.

Which ACC teams make the most sense for joining the Big 12 expansion via conference realignment?

Greg Swaim's list does make a lot of sense as there are some serious heavy hitters at the top. The two obvious ones would be the Clemson Tigers and the Florida State Seminoles for the simple fact that they are suing the ACC in order to be able to leave the league.

The other five schools would all be intriguing for Big 12 expansion but out of those five, the Miami Hurricanes make a lot of sense.

The Big 12 expansion does not need to be in a specific region, but one of the hotbeds for recruits is in Florida. Getting the Big 12 Conference access to Miami could be a major play as international prospects as well as some incredibly talented recruits are located in that state.

Those are the three most realistic ACC teams likely to make it to the Big 12 as Brett Yormark has the option to be a bit selective here.
