Clemson Transfer Portal Tracker: All players who have entered the transfer portal after the 2024 season
In the shadow of the transfer portal, the Clemson Tigers are getting ready for their first-round CFP game with Texas. Even the Tigers aren't unaffected by the portal, but compared to most teams, Clemson's portal losses are relatively light.
But as things stand, with the Tigers getting ready for their showdown with the Longhorns, only three Clemson players have put their names in the transfer portal. That said, here's the rundown on Clemson's portal entrants.
Clemson Transfer Portal Tracker: players who have entered the portal
Noble Johnson, WR
A 6-foot-2 wide receiver from Texas, Johnson picked the Tigers out of high school. But in two full seasons at Clemson, Johnson has managed just three catches for a total of 16 yards. Johnson played in only four games in 2023 and was able to retain his year of eligibility as a redshirt. He saw action in nine games in 2024.
Still, Johnson will transfer with three years of remaining eligibility. He has already committed to Arizona State for his next collegiate stop.
Sherrod Covil, S
A four-star recruit from Virginia, Covil has seen steady action over three seasons at Clemson but never has reached the full-time role many expected. Over three seasons, Covil has played in 32 games. He made a total of 36 tackles, a tackle for loss and broke up a pass.
Covil played enough games in each season from 2022 to 2024 to claim a year of eligibility. Accordingly, he'll have just a single season of remaining eligibility at his transfer portal stop.
Troy Stellato, WR
Stellato has been a regular contributor for the Tigers, but has already entered the portal. A Florida product, Stellato was a four-star recruit in 2021. He played in two games and caught two passes and then missed the 2022 season entirely. Stellato had preserved a redshirt from his 2021 campaign as well.
But in 2023, Stellato had 38 catches for 321 yards. He added another 25 receptions for 264 yards in 2024. A useful slot receiver, Stellato shouldn't have any trouble finding an interested school in the portal to let him pursue his two remaining seasons of eligibility.
