Colorado vs Colorado State Week 3 injury report: Update on LaVonta Bentley, Tory Horton and more

Colorado vs Colorado State is one of the exciting matchups lined up for fans to watch in Week 3. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and should be an intense contest based on what some of the Rams players have been saying.

However, the game is not without its blemishes. There are several injuries within both teams. Here are the most significant ones in the two rosters.

Colorado vs Colorado State injury report

The Colorado vs Colorado State matchup will not be a game between two fully healthy teams. Both squads are dealing with injuries to members of their starting lineups. These are the most significant injuries for each team.

Colorado Buffaloes injury report

Head coach Deion Sanders spoke with the media earlier this week and gave updates on some key members in the Buffaloes lineup.

Chidozie Nwankwo

Nose guard Nwankwo sustained an injury to his AC joint in Colorado's most recent game, against Nebraska. He has been an important contributor to Colorado's defense, recording three tackles and a sack early in the season.

Sanders expressed hope that Nwankwo will be ready for today's game, but he is still listed as questionable on the injury report.

Dallan Hayden

When speaking about running back Dallan Hayden, Sanders did not express much hope of him playing this week. He is listed as out on the injury report and a return date has not been announced. Hayden has performed well early in the season, rushing for 52 yards on 14 carries, and adding 3 receptions for 41 yards.

LaVonta Bentley

There is hope for linebacker LaVonta Bentley's return this week. Despite Sanders telling reporters that he was still limping a bit, he is listed as probable on the injury report. So, he is likely still injured, but healthy enough to play.

Colorado State Rams injury report

There are only three players on the Rams injury report.

Jaxxon Warren

Tight end Jaxxon Warren suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in training camp. He is eligible to redshirt the year and has three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Tory Horton

Wide receiver Tory Horton is expected to be a game-time decision for today's Colorado vs Colorado State matchup. He is listed as probable for the game with a leg injury. Horton returned to practice on Friday and is expected to start if he plays in the game.

Nuer Gatkuoth

Defensive end Nuer Gatkuoth is not expected to play in the Colorado vs Colorado State game. Although he has not been officially ruled out, he is listed as doubtful on the injury report. Gatkuoth suffered a turf toe in training camp and has not played in a game yet this season.
