Country music legend George Strait breaks all-time Texas A&M home stadium record with 110,905 fans attending live show

At 72, country music legend George Strait made history. Strait recently set a new attendance record at Texas A&M's Kyle Field with 110,905 attendees on Saturday. The audience surpassed the Grateful Dead's 1977 record of 107,019 people at Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J.

This performance was also the highest attendance ever recorded at Kyle Field, beating the previous record set during a 2014 Texas A&M football game against Ole Miss.

Over his 30+ year career, Strait has amassed numerous accolades, including the record for the most No. 1 singles and the distinction of being the only artist to rank in Billboard’s top 10 for 30 consecutive years.

The music producer also holds the highest number of No. 1 albums, gold albums, and platinum albums in country music history. His enduring appeal is evident in his ability to sell out such a massive venue at this stage in his career.

George Strait’s new album “Cowboys and Dreamers” drops in September. He will perform in Salt Lake City this month, followed by concerts in Detroit and Chicago in July.

Strait has set numerous records before, he holds the most No. 1 singles of any artist across all genres and is the only artist with a Top 10 hit each year for three decades, according to Billboard. Strait also holds over 20 attendance records at U.S. music venues.
