Bennett's college football career
Despite not graduating, Bennett had a noteworthy and applaudable football career. His story is more amazing when a look is taken at his beginnings as a walk-on with the Georgia Bulldogs before transferring a year after.
Bennett did not play a game his freshman year at Georgia. Following the commitment of highly touted five-star high school quarterback Justin Fields to Georgia in 2018, he transferred to Jones College, a community college.
Following Justin Fields' transfer to Ohio State, the Bulldogs found themselves in need of a backup quarterback. Georgia extended a scholarship offer to Stetson Bennett, which he gladly accepted, becoming the second-string quarterback.
His last two seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs saw him lead the team to two consecutive national championships under coach Kirby Smart. It was an amazing rise from underdog to champion for the quarterback.
