"Don't give a damn about Arizona": Warren Sapp sends a clear message to Shedeur Sanders & Colorado ahead of season-defining clash

The Colorado Buffaloes are prepared for a massive Week 8 road game against the Arizona Wildcats that can dictate their season. However, it appears that some of the coaching staff is viewing this game as a bit insignificant compared to what it means in the long term.

Warren Sapp is a Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive tackle and currently a Senior Quality Control Analyst (Defense) at Colorado. He recently spoke about how this game is more important about how the game looks for his team rather than it is about taking down the Arizona Wildcats.

The Buffaloes are currently tied for fourth place in the Big 12 with a 4-2 (2-1) record and are two wins away from being bowl eligible. However, Sapp is not too concerned with the official score for the Week 8 game, as long as the Buffs are trending in the right direction.

Will Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have the advantage against the Arizona Wildcats?

Contrary to coach Warren Sapp's belief, the results of this game do matter if the Buffaloes want to be considered a threat and compete for the conference championship.

The Week 8 game on the road against Arizona is interesting as ESPN Bet has the Buffs listed as two-point road underdogs. That is significant as that typically means on a neutral site, Colorado would be considered the favorite in this game.

Colorado does have a few advantages entering this game at Arizona Stadium and it begins with the quarterback. Shedeur Sanders has been one of the top quarterbacks in college football this season.

Another advantage as of late has been the defense, as the Buffaloes are allowing 26.0 points in their last two games. Compare that to how the Wildcats have played, as they are giving up 34.5 points in that same two-game stretch.

The Buffs have a few advantages heading into this game as they are the better team so far this season and could get closer to getting into a bowl game.
