Duke returning football starters: Full list of athletes who returned for another year in 2024

Duke should have an exciting season this year, and that is partially because it has several returning players. Although there are also a few transfers, most of the starting lineup was already part of the team last year.

Duke returning football starters for 2024 season

Duke has already started its season with a 26-3 win over Elon. As a result, we have seen who the starters are on offense and defense.

These are the players who were on the team last year.

Eli Pancol

Pancol is a returning wide receiver. However, he did not play the entire 2023 season because of a season-ending lower body injury he suffered in training camp last year. In 2022, he had 23 receptions and 347 yards.

Jordan Moore

Moore is another returning WR. He had 62 receptions and 835 yards last season in a starting role.

Sahmir Hagans

Hagans is the last of the three starting WRs returning for the Blue Devils. In 2023, he had 30 receptions and 260 yards.

Matt Craycraft

Matt Craycraft will be the starting center this season. Although he only started one game last year, he played 200 snaps in nine games.

Justin Pickett

Pickett returns this season as the starting right guard. In 24 career games for Duke, he has started 10 times and played 832 snaps.

Brian Parker II

Parker rounds out the returning starters on the offensive line. He is the starting right tackle and returns after making seven starts in 14 career games and playing 614 snaps.

Nicky Dalmolin

Dalmolin returns as the starting tight end. In 2023, he had 15 receptions and 147 yards.

Jaquez Moore

Moore is the final returning player on the offense. In 2023, he had 116 carries for 674 rushing yards. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry and scored six touchdowns.

Vincent Anthony Jr.

Moving on to the defense, Anthony is returning as the starting defensive end. In 2023, he had 18 total tackles — half of which were solo efforts. He also had two sacks.

Aaron Hall

Hall is a returning defensive tackle. In 2023, he registered 27 tackles including 11 solo efforts and 1.5 sacks.

Wesley Williams

Williams returns as a starting defensive end after a stellar freshman season. He had 39 tackles including 11 solo efforts and 1.5 sacks.

Tre Freeman

Tre Freeman is a returning linebacker and should make a big impact again this year. He had 106 tackles in 2023, 55 of which were solo. He had 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and even an interception which he returned for 24 yards.

Nick Morris Jr.

Morris is another returning starting LB. He had 60 tackles in 2023, including 26 solo efforts. Additionally, he had one sack and one fumble recovery.

Joshua Pickett

Pickett plays in the backfield as a cornerback and returns as a starter this season. He had 17 tackles last year including 12 solo efforts and 1 interception.

Jaylen Stinson

Stinson is a returning safety and this will be his fifth season with the Blue Devils. Last year he had 88 tackles, including 42 solo efforts, one sack, one fumble recovery and one interception.

Terry Moore

Moore is the other starting safety. He returns after making 42 tackles including 21 solo efforts and 2.5 sacks in 2023.

Chandler Rivers

Rivers is returning at the starting cornerback position. Last year he had 58 tackles, 39 of which were solo and one interception returned for a touchdown.

Cameron Bergeron

Lastly, Bergeron is a returning starting linebacker. However, he only made one start last season. In 2023, he had 11 tackles, seven of which were solo.
