“Football would be boring if we were perfect”: Alabama QB Jalen Milroe savors victory after matchup against Wisconsin
The Alabama Crimson Tide have started the season well as they are coming off a 42-10 road win in Week 3 against the Wisconsin Badgers. However, not everything happened exactly as planned as quarterback Jalen Milroe discussed in his post-game interview on the field with Fox Sports' Jenny Taft.
Taft shared that earlier in the week, Milroe mentioned the following quote:
"The game of football would be boring if we were perfect."
Despite the offense looking incredible as they have scored 40+ points in their first three games and getting healthier. It will be interesting to see how they continue to do and if they can get to that boring part of football by playing perfectly.
Will Jalen Milroe and the Alabama Crimson Tide make the College Football Playoff?
Jalen Milroe has been playing at an incredible level this season as he has 14 touchdowns right now. It is difficult to expect much more out of the program under new coach Kalen DeBoer after three consecutive wins to start the season.
While it's too early to say the Alabama Crimson Tide will make the 12-team College Football Playoff for sure, they have looked like one of the best teams and being ranked fourth in college football showcases that.
Jalen Milroe is one of the top players in the country right now and he is one of the contenders for the 2024 Heisman Trophy. Entering Week 3, he was 31st in the country with a 78.5 QBR and with his ability to move around the pocket and continue creating plays. However, he has to improve at sensing pressure within the pocket to get to that next level.
He is competing with players like Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter, Georgia quarterback Carson Beck and Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers to name a few. Expect the team that wins the SEC to have their quarterback be one of the frontrunners for the award as a bit of a tiebreaker.
