"I just hope she matures": Ex-NFL star Le'Veon Bell takes a step back on Travis Hunter's fiancee Leanna Lenee day after his strong remarks

Travis Hunter and his fiancee, Leanna Lenee, became part of a serious controversy just after the Heisman ceremony. Fans attacked Leanna based on a clip that went viral. She was targeted so much that she had to make her Instagram and X accounts private. Hunter dropped some furious statements directed toward clickbait sites on his livestream addressing this issue.

On Monday, Leanna uploaded an eight-minute-long video on TikTok in which she explained about everything that trolls have brought up against her. Seeing this video, professional boxer and former running back Le'Veon Bell tweeted:

"we spread all the negativity about her .. but, she seems pretty genuine in this video .. like I said before, I just hope she matures, & be the significant other Trav needs in his corner .. but I’m not gon lie, this video was definitely needed .. especially for ppl like me😂"

The viral clip was taken from a moment during the Heisman ceremony. When Hunter was named the Heisman winner, everybody stood up to applaud and celebrate except Leanna. She immediately joined the celebration, standing after a slight nudge from Deion Sanders. Seeing this clip, Bell tweeted:

"Trav’s name gets called, everyone that cared instantly stood up .. there’s only one person who got up because Prime gave her the cue .. we know Trav the best player in the country, but right now I’m questioning his “awareness” .."

Even under Hunter's response video, Le'Veon tweeted:

"he love that girl, probably his 1st gf.. they both young, I’m just HOPING she matures, & QUICKLY .. that’s all I can say, cuz my guy Trav is lost in the sauce ..but we’ve all been there .. at least I have, young and dumb .. I just pray he doesn’t have to find out the hard way"

Leanna's video cleared up a lot of things for the boxer, and his stance on the situation changed.

The Buffaloes finished 9-3 this season, missing their playoff chance owing to a defeat against Kansas (37-21). They have the Alamo Bowl coming up against the BYU Cougars on Dec. 28. This being the last game Hunter plays wearing the Buffs kit, he would like to end in style.

With 14 touchdowns and 1,152 yards to his name, he would like to add some more to these numbers in that game. The key is not to let this drama get to his head. Amidst this distraction, maintaining focus is critical.
