Is Travis Hunter injured? Taking a closer look at Colorado WR's first-quarter showdown against Colorado State in Week 3

Colorado Buffaloes' two-way player Travis Hunter went down in pain during the Rocky Mountain Showdown between Deion Sanders' team and Jay Norvell's Colorado State.

The contest was heated right from the start, with Norvell and his team initially taking a 14-7 lead.

Around the five-minute mark of the first quarter, Travis Hunter ran a go-route on the left side and quarterback Shedeur Sanders tried to find him for a possible touchdown.

While the primary defender on Hunter was keeping him in check, Colorado State safety Henry Blackburn delivered a crushing blow to his chest and was immediately flagged. Hunter dropped to the ground and was sidelined momentarily.

Shedeur Sanders confronted the Colorado State safety before officials and other players tried to de-escalate the situation.

Travis Hunter returned later in the game, this time taking the field as a cornerback.

Shilo Sanders opened the scoring for the Colorado Buffaloes with an 80-yard pick-six. He was quick to intercept a pass by Colorado State QB Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi and sprinted his way to the endzone.

This was Shilo Sanders' first touchdown for the Buffaloes since joining the team. However, Colorado State quickly regained the lead, scoring 14 points in the first quarter of the game.

However, it did not take long for Shedeur Sanders to level the scores, once again with an accurate touchdown pass. From a 3rd-and-8 situation, Sanders found Xavier Howards, who went on to score a touchdown for the Buffaloes. The Colorado State are currently leading 21-14 in the third quarter.
