Isaiah World Transfer Portal: Exploring 3 Potential Landing Spots for Wolf Pack OT with rumored exit from Nevada
Isaiah World has reportedly entered the transfer portal after four seasons with the Nevada Wolf Pack. The offensive tackle will try to end his senior year on a high note and potentially enter the 2026 NFL draft. On3's Pete Nakos reported on X on Tuesday that World has officially joined the transfer portal.
Isaiah World has continued to improve as an offensive threat for the Wolf Pack each season. On December 3, he was named the All-Mountain West Honorable Mention for Nevada for the second year. He also started every game this season in the left tackle position, showing his consistency. The NFL draft prospect has helped revamp his team's offense from being the worst in the Mountain West Conference last year to ranking seventh this season.
Nevada (3-10, 0-7 Mountain West) concluded their season with a total of 4,889 yards and an average of 23.1 points per game. They matched the Colorado State Rams with 300 total points, an increase from last year's 208 points.
Although the team offense was an upgrade from the previous season, they still struggled against other teams in the conference. In Week 14, Nevada suffered their sixth consecutive defeat in a 38-14 blowout loss to the No. 24 UNLV Rebels (10-3, 6-1 Mountain West) on November 30.
A potential transfer for Isaiah World could be a fresh start for him to showcase his abilities with a team with a higher chance of contending for a College Football Playoff spot. Here are three teams that could be interested in recruiting the offensive lineman.
Isaiah World transfer portal: Top 3 landing spots for the Nevada OT
#3, LSU
The LSU Tigers (8-4, 5-3 Southeastern Conference) are among the teams in the league that may try to shake up their offense. LSU has the fifth-best offense in the SEC, with a total of 5,183 yards and an average of 29.3 points per game. The team finished the regular season with a 37-17 win over the Oklahoma Sooners (6-6, 2-6 SEC) on November 30.
Although the Tigers won't be able to compete in the College Football Playoffs, they have earned eligibility to play in a bowl game. Isaiah World could be an excellent asset for LSU, as it would increase its chances of having the best offense in the SEC and getting a playoff berth next season.
#2, Ohio State
The No. 8 Ohio State Buckeyes (10-2, 7-2 Big Ten) are having a great season and will compete in the first round of the College Football Playoffs. On December 21, Ohio State takes on the No. 9 Tennessee Volunteers (10-2, 6-2 SEC) to determine who will advance to the quarterfinals. Despite their success this year, the program may try to get Isaiah World from the transfer portal to enhance their offense next season.
Last year, Ohio State had the best offense in the Big Ten, with 5,303 yards and an average of 30.5 points per game. However, that is no longer the case this season. The No. 1 Oregon Ducks joined the conference and have played better than the Buckeyes. Oregon has a total of 5,848 yards compared to Ohio State's 5,082 yards.
The Buckeyes could move to acquire Isaiah World to reclaim their spot next year and return to the College Football Playoffs.
#1, Colorado
The No. 23 Colorado Buffaloes (9-3, 7-2 Big 12) had their best season in years thanks to the coach Deion Sanders. "Coach Prime" helped the team become eligible to play in a bowl game and almost earned a spot in the College Football Playoffs. While the team has improved under his leadership, they still have areas they can improve.
One of the team's issues is the offensive line, which sometimes struggled this season. A great way to fix the problem would be to recruit the Nevada left tackle from the transfer portal. The move may benefit both as the team gets an accomplished offensive lineman, and Isaiah World gets to show he can impact a different team in his senior year.
