“Just ended BK’s time”: CFB fans doubt Brian Kelly’s LSU run as Bryce Underwood makes massive move to Michigan

College football recruitment is one of the more intriguing parts of the sport as some of the high schoolers preparing for the collegiate futures are second-guessing and joining a different program entirely than previously expected. One of these players is ESPN's top recruit in the Class of 2025 in quarterback Bryce Underwood.

He was originally committed to the LSU Tigers and has officially flipped his commitment on Thursday to join the Michigan Wolverines next season. Underwood originally pledged to the Tigers on Jan. 6 before Michigan coach Sherrone Moore and Wolverines staff made an aggressive push to land him.

People took to social media to react to the news about Bryce Underwood's flipped commitment.

"Huge shift for Michigan - Underwood's commitment is a game changer for their future!" One person responded
"Good! Big 10 needs Michigan to be competitive! This is coming from a Buckeyes fan" Another poster commented

Other people attributed the flipped commitment of Bryce Underwood as a result of Dave Portnoy of Barstool saying he would give a NIL package to a quarterback to join the Michigan Wolverines.

"BY GOD DAVE PORTNOY IS LEGENDARY STATUS" One Twitter user wrote

It will be interesting to see if Bryce Underwood could immediately start next season, similar to Nebraska's Dylan Raiola.

Bryce Underwood flips to Michigan amid reported eight-figure offer

Bryce Underwood's commitment from LSU comes amid a report that Michigan was set to offer the quarterback $10.5 million over the course of four years. The deal has been linked with Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy, who had said he would create for the program to land a quarterback.

Michigan has had its struggles at quarterback this season. Seventh-year senior Jack Tuttle was forced to retire in October after suffering the fifth concussion of his career. Davis Warren has been the quarterback for most of the season; he has completed 61% of his passes for 869 yards, with five touchdowns and six interceptions.

Now that he has flipped, Bryce Underwood will remain at home. The Wolverines also flipped one of his high school teammates in four-star cornerback Elijah Dotson. This could be the start of an impressive run for the Michigan Wolverines after one rebuilding season.
