CB Ivan Taylor

Ivan Taylor flipped his commitment from the irish-football" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-is-sponsored="false">Notre Dame Fighting Irish to join the Michigan Wolverines in the 2025 season. According to 247 Sports, Taylor is ranked as the 41st-best prospect in the country and the second-best safety in the Class of 2025 but could also transition to cornerback.

He is a four-star prospect and the son of two-time Super Bowl champion Ike Taylor. He recently committed to the Wolverines as he flipped his commitment on Jul. 8. Taylor stands at 6-0, 174 pounds and should be a force in the secondary for Sherrone Moore's team.

S Kainoa Winston

Another reason why Ivan Taylor may transition to the cornerback spot is to free up a starting position for safety Kainoa Winston. The four-star player out of Washington, DC had a hard commit on Jun. 14 of this year and is one of the best safeties in the country.

Winston has blazing speed as he holds his high school's record in the 200-meter dash (21.58). His cousin is Kevin Winston Jr., a defensive back for the Penn State Nittany Lions, so there is some quality play from the family tree. Winston could be a factor in the slot as well and play special teams to really impact the Wolverines.

DT Nathaniel Marshall

The Michigan Wolverines are built on the defensive side of the field and that is why their top three recruits are on that side of the football. Marshall had a hard commitment back on Apr. 22 for Wolverines football in 2025. As one of the best defensive linemen in the Class of 2025, he is expected to make an immediate impact.

He has the size to do well in the Big Ten as he is 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds. His grandfather is a former 10-year NBA player out of the Illinois Fighting Illini. Marshall is one of the better athletes at the position and it makes sense for Sherrone Moore's team to be interested in him.
