Middle Tennessee vs. Ole Miss: Prediction & Betting Tips September 7 | College Football Week 2
The No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels face off against their first FBS opponent of the season in Week 2. However, the game should still be a cakewalk for Lanne Kiffin's men, as Middle Tennessee isn't anywhere near being a heavy hitter in the world of college football.
In Week 1, the Rebels put up quite a show against Furman. They shut out the FCS school, with an impressive 76-0 final score. Quarterback Jaxson Dart threw for 418 yards with five touchdowns. Equally impressive was wide receiver Tre Harris' performance, who had 179 receiving yards and two touchdown clashes.
Middle Tennessee had a rather closer game against their FCS opponent in Week 1. They defeated Tennessee Tech 32-25. Their signal-caller, Nicholas Vattiato, threw for 210 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Running back Frank Peasant had only 49 rushing yards but contributed with two key touchdowns.

Middle Tennessee vs. Ole Miss prediction
Middle Tennessee doesn't seem to have any of the pieces necessary on paper to cope with the Rebels. The Rebels could be considered serious candidates to make a deep run in the CFP later this year, and they have one of the best offenses in the nation led by an experienced quarterback in Jaxson Dart. The question is not about who will win, but rather by how much will Ole Miss win.
Prediction:
Ole Miss to run away with it and win 62-3 against Middle Tennessee.
