Mizzou football recruiting: Top 3 recruits Eliah Drinkwitz could target from the class of 2025 ft. Jayvan Boggs
The 2023 season was an unforeseen hit for the Mizzou Tigers. With an overall record of 11-2, they finished No. 8 in the AP Poll.
To close out the season on a high note, they beat Ohio State 14-3 in the Cottom Bowl. Eliah Drinkwitz's fourth season at the helm of the Mizzou Tigers was a definite success, but long-term success in college football is about recruiting.
Hence the mind of Drinkwitz has ever since certainly been in the recruitment of the 2024 and 2025 classes.
In the 2024 class, five-star defensive lineman Williams Nwaneri has already committed to the Tigers.
A Missouri native, from Lees Summit, Nwaneri is the sixth overall ranked among recruits of the 2024 class. He's the second-ranked defensive lineman in the nation and the first overall recruit in Missouri.
Now, let's check what could potentially be in store for the Tigers in 2025.
Top three recruiting targets for the Mizzou Tigers in the class of 2025
#3 Jayvan Boggs- WR
Boggs is a three-star recruit. according to 247 Sports, but a four-star per the composite. He's a native of Cocoa, Florida, and is ranked 42nd among wide receivers in his class.
He would be a solid pick for whom the Tigers would only really have to beat the UCF Knights, but there are some better options ahead on this list.
#2 Donovan Olugbode- WR
Olugbobe, a native of Bradenton, Florida, is the 11th-ranked wide receiver in the nation for the class of 2025. The Mizzou Tigers already have gotten a commitment from four-star quarterback Matt Zollers, so why not get another four-star and give Zollers some weapons to work with?
To do that, they need to beat Florida, USC, Washington and Oregon in the recruitment game.
#3 Michael Fasusi- OT
This offensive lineman is a bonafide five-star recruit, ranking 27th in the nation among all recruits and fifth among offensive linemen.
He's a native of Lewisville, Texas, and that would be a problem for his recruitment, given the allure of local schools like Texas and Texas A&M. Moreover, Mizzou can no longer boast the possibility of offering SEC football, as other schools chasing him are now moving to the conference (Oklahoma).
