$1.6 million NIL-valued Jalen Milroe hangs out with $8.9 billion worth Raising Canes co-founder Todd Graves
Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe has been having a busy off-season so far. He has appeared at the Manning Passing Academy, Louisiana, under the tutelage of former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
The $1.6 million NIL-valued Milroe (as per On3) also recently posted a picture of himself on Instagram, hanging out with the $8.9 billion worth Todd Graves. The latter is the co-founder of the fast food chain Raising Canes.
Milroe captioned the post:
"Had an awesome time hanging out with @toddgraves at the food truck yesterday. Had some great food and conversation @raisingcanes #CaniacAmbassador," Milroe wrote.
Jalen Milroe has an extensive NIL portfolio
Jalen Milroe has accumulated a varied portfolio of endorsements and has a NIL valuation of $1.6 million. This puts him at No. 5 among college football players and No. 6 overall on the On3 NIL 100 list.
Milroe's first NIL deal came when he signed with clothing company Rhoback in 2022. He was not yet a starter for the Crimson Tide as he was behind Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young in the quarterback room. Yet, he managed to snag the lucrative NIL deal.
Last season, Milroe and Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold came up with the popular saying "LANK" - (Let All Naysayers Know). This became the Crimson Tide's catchphrase as the season progressed.
Soon, it became so popular that the duo started to use it on apparel and sell them on 'Athletic Threads'. This boosted their commercial engagements. It also created NIL opportunities for the whole team as Milroe and Arnold collaborated with Alabama's Yea Collective to sell athlete-specific apparel.
Between September 19 and November 23, Milroe saw a 542 percent bump in his NIL valuation. It was $331,00 before he became the de facto QB1 for Nick Saban's Alabama, who took a while to grow into the season.
Jalen Milroe signed his first NIL deal this year with fitness supplement company Six Star Pro Nutrition in March. He joined a stellar cast of student-athletes allied with the company including Miami Hurricanes stars Haley and Hanna Cavinder, and South Carolina Gamecocks star Chloe Kitts.
Milroe finished last season with 2,718 passing yards resulting in 23 touchdowns and six interceptions, adding 468 rushing yards resulting in 12 touchdowns. He finished No. 6 in the Heisman Trophy voting.
He has been given the sixth-best odds of +1500 by DraftKings to win the Heisman Trophy this year. This can only boost his various NIL opportunities as the Alabama Crimson Tide embark on a new era under coach Kalen DeBoer.
