10 best Big 12 transfers to watch out for in 2024 CFB season
The Big 12 is set to have an entirely new look during the 2024 season. The conference has expanded to 16 teams despite the offseason departures of the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns.
After adding the BYU Cougars, Cincinnati Bearcats, Houston Cougars and UCF Knights last year, the Arizona Wildcats, Arizona State Sun Devils, Colorado Buffaloes and Utah Utes have joined the Big 12.

#1: Samuel Okunlola
Samuel Okunlola initially joined the Pittsburgh Panthers as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class.
He recorded 18 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery last season after redshirting his true freshman year. The defensive lineman joined the Colorado Buffalloes as the 54th-ranked transfer prospect.
#2: Quency Wiggins
Quency Wiggins joined the LSU Tigers as a four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class.
He hardly saw the field in his two seasons with the program, recording seven tackles and 1.0 tackles for loss. The defensive lineman joined the Colorado Buffaloes as the 64th-ranked transfer prospect.
#3: Dequan Finn
Dequan Finn joined the Toledo Rockets as a three-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class.
In five seasons - three of which he was the primary starter - he completed 60.3% of his passes, throwing for 7,083 yards, 63 touchdowns and 23 interceptions. Finn added 1,841 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns on 389 carries. The quarterback joined the Baylor Bears as the 75th-ranked transfer prospect.
#4: Will Sheppard
Will Sheppard joined the Vanderbilt Commodores as a three-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class.
In four seasons - the first of which he redshirt - he caught 152 passes for 2,067 yards and 21 touchdowns. The wide receiver joined the Colorado Buffaloes as the 76th-ranked transfer prospect.
#5: B.J. Green
B.J. Green initially joined the Arizona State Sun Devils as a three-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class.
In three seasons, he recorded 60 tackles, 21.0 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks and one forced fumble. The defensive lineman joined the Colorado Buffaloes as the 83rd-ranked transfer prospect.
#6: Jalin Conyers
Jalin Conyers initially joined the Arizona State Sun Devils as a four-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class.
He recorded 74 receptions for 846 yards and six touchdowns while adding 92 rushing yards and one touchdown on 22 carries. The wide receiver joined the Texas Tech Red Raiders as the 88th-ranked transfer prospect.
#7: Jack Kelly
Jack Kelly joined the Weber State Wildcats as a three-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class.
He recorded 85 tackles, 20.0 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks, one interception, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and seven passes defended. The defensive end joined the BYU Cougars as the 93rd-ranked transfer prospect.
#8: Nyjalik Kelly
Nyjalik Kelly joined the Miami Hurricanes as a four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He recorded 19 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks and one pass defended. The defensive end joined the UCF Knights as the 104th-ranked transfer prospect.
#9: Dylan Edwards
Dylan Edwards joined the Colorado Buffaloes as a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He recorded 321 rushing yards and one touchdown on 76 carries, adding 299 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 36 receptions.
He had five kickoff returns for 105 yards and two punt returns for 19 yards. The running back joined the Kansas State Wildcats as the 108th-ranked transfer prospect.
#10: Kedrick Reescano
Kedrick Reescano initially joined the Ole Miss Rebels as a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. After redshirting his true freshman season, the running back joined the Arizona Wildcats as the 110th-ranked transfer prospect.
