$250M worth Peyton Manning makes thoughts about Arch Manning’s decision to stay at Texas clear
Arch Manning saw heaps of praise and support from Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning, who shared an emotional message about his nephew on "The Pat McAfee Show" last week. Arch has yet to blossom with the Texas Longhorns, currently serving as the backup quarterback to Quinn Ewers.
Peyton, a University of Tennessee alum, put out his heartfelt support for Arch's journey:
"I'm pulling hard for my nephew," Manning said. "I'm proud of him and how he's handled himself at Texas. I'm looking forward to watching him throughout his career there."
The 48-year-old former NFL star worth $250 million (according to Celebrity Net Worth) playing in the same prestigious conference, the Southeastern Conference, that Texas is joining this season.
"My allegiances are always to the Tennessee Volunteers, but I'm proud of my nephew for having a chance to play in this conference," he said.
UT coach Steve Sarkisian also praised the young quarterback during SEC media days. Sarkisian hinted that Arch could see more action this season, saying, "We're probably going to need both those guys at some point this season."

Steve Sarkisian believes Arch Manning plays in the best conference
Steve Sarkisian is fired up about the Texas Longhorns and Arch Manning.
"This year's Longhorns team is probably the most talented team we've had in my four years here," Sarkisian said at this month's SEC media days.
When asked about Manning, Sarkisian said that the Manning family knew what they were getting into:
"I think they trained Arch to try to put himself in the best position to try to play in the best conference in America."
Sarkisian believes that playing in the SEC will ultimately benefit Manning's development and career prospects, saying:
"Arch's development has been important to the family, and he's reaping the benefit of those things."
Arch Manning, a former five-star recruit and the top-ranked player in the class of 2022, has drawn widespread attention, even as a backup. Despite throwing just five passes for 30 yards last season behind starter Quinn Ewers, the 19-year-old QB remains a hot topic.
