EA Sports College Football 25 was released on July 19, with those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition receiving access to the highly-anticipated video game three days early. It marks the first release by the immensely popular college sports franchise since 2013 when NCAA Football 14 was released.
The SEC has often been labeled as the premier conference in college football and features some of the most formidable defenses in the game. Here's a closer look at the top three SEC defenses in EA Sports College Football 25.

#1. Georgia Bulldogs
The Georgia Bulldogs have the best defense of any SEC team in EA Sports College Football 25 as they have a 94 overall rated offense. That mark ranks second among all teams in the nation behind Ohio State. Georgia's highest-rated defensive player is free safety Malaki Starks, who has a 95 overall rating.
Left outside linebacker Mykel Williams, middle linebacker Smael Mondon Jr., defensive tackle Nazir Stackhouse and cornerback Daylen Everette round out the Bulldogs top-five, with 93, 89, 88 and 88 overall ratings, respectively. Georgia has seven defensive players with an 85 overall rating or higher.

The Texas Longhorns round out the top three of top-ranked SEC defenses in EA Sports College Football 25 as they also boast a defense with an 88 overall rating, ranking third in the SEC and eighth in the entire nation. Free safety Andrew Mukuba and left end Trey Moore lead the way, as both players boast an 89 overall rating.
Strong safety Jahdae Barron, cornerback Malik Muhammad and right outside linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. round out the top five with 88, 87, and 86 overall ratings, respectively. Texas has seven defensive players with an 85 overall rating or higher.
