$4.6M NIL-valued Shedeur Sanders has one-word reaction to meeting WNBA star A’ja Wilson

Quarterback Shedeur Sanders of the Colorado Buffaloes (4-1) had the chance to go to a recent WNBA game between the Las Vegas Aces (1-2) and New York Liberty (2-1). The Aces picked up their first win of the season with a 95-81 victory over the Liberty on Friday night.

After the game, Shedeur Sanders had the opportunity to meet Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson. Sanders and Wilson dapped each other up before having a brief conversation that was caught on camera by SportsCenter.

Although it is difficult to make out what was said in the conversation in the video, Sanders took to Twitter afterward to give his one-word reaction to meeting A'ja Wilson:

Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are on an open week, which gave Sanders the opportunity to attend the game between the Liberty and Aces.

Shedeur Sanders enjoying a great season so far

Shedeur Sanders is in his second season with the Buffaloes, and fourth college football season overall.

This season, the Colorado Buffaloes are off to a good start and are currently riding a three-game win streak. They most recently defeated UCF 48-21 and will play their first-ranked opponent of the season next week, the number 20 ranked Kansas State.

Sanders is projected to be one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, but not everyone agrees about that.

Sanders has recently been in the news because of his beef with former pro quarterback Cam Newton. The latter made headlines on his podcast in the spring for saying he does not think Sanders should be a top pick in the draft this year.

The two met briefly on the sideline at Colorado's game against UCF last Saturday and Sanders appeared to blow him off. This drama has led to former players like Terrell Owens commenting on the situation.

Who is A'ja Wilson?

A'Ja Wilson is a center of the Las Vegas Aces and one of the biggest stars in the WNBA. She is in her seventh season, all with the Aces.

She has averaged 21.1 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.9 blocks throughout her career. Additionally, she is a 2x WNBA champion (2022, 2023), 1x Finals MVP (2023) and 3x MVP (2020, 2022, 2024).

Dwayne Wade recently gave advice to rookie star Angel Reese, using Wilson as a model. He believes that if Reese adjusts her game to be more aggressive in the mid-post like Wilson, she will have more success.
