$45 million worth Deion Sanders drops launch date of his signature Nike Air DT Max 96 "Dirty Bird" series
On Wednesday, Colorado coach Deion Sanders teased fans with the upcoming series of his signature Nike Air DT Max 96 sneakers. Sanders, who has a net worth of $45 million (per CelebrityNetWorth), announced on Instagram that his "Dirty Bird" series will be released on Nov. 15.
Sanders' "Dirty Bird" Nike sneakers have a black nubuck overlay on the top, with the signature shredded design that makes way for a silvery-grey, tumbled leather beneath. The shading is also present on the heel, where Sanders’ iconic No. 21 NFL jersey number is embroidered.
Notably, this is the first DT Max ’96 sneaker with the honorary detail for the Pro Football Hall of Famer. There is also a subtle white near the Swoosh branding on the ankle, heel and midfoot strap.
As per reports, Sanders' highly anticipated "Dirty Bird" series sneakers will cost $170. Fans can find the kicks on SNKRS and Nike retailers across the nation.
Exploring Deion Sanders' history with Nike
Deion Sanders reportedly began his collaboration with Nike in 1992, when he was plying his trade in the NFL. Their longstanding relationship ended in 2017, and at the time, Sanders said he would never work with the sports apparel brand in the future.
However, in July 2023, Sanders announced his reunion with Nike, subsequently ending his partnership with Under Armour.
While Sanders continues to promote his work with Nike, he also has a closer eye on his Colorado team, which has enjoyed a bright start to the 2024 season.
The Buffaloes are currently sixth in the Big 12 with a 4-2 record. They recently suffered a 31-28 loss against the then-No. 18 Kansas State on Saturday, which was only their second defeat of the season.
