$50 million worth Kirby Smart who owns biggest house in Clarke County finally lists it, sees huge price drop after 2 months
Kirby Smart's luxurious Athens mansion listed on the market sees a price dip after two months. Originally valued at $4.2 million, the price has now been reduced to $3.99 million. This 2.2-acre estate is the most expensive listing in Athens.
Featuring an original 1920s stone cottage, Smart’s home is located in the Five Points neighborhood, two miles from Sanford Stadium. It is a seven-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom house with roughly 7,100 square feet of living space.
The Georgia coach and his wife, Mary Beth Smart, have owned the property since 2016. Smart’s wife expressed her love for property in an interview with Atlanta Magazine in 2017:
"We had a set of unique needs for this home, which is one reason it took six months to find. There are times when we might host players and their families with all the coaches, and 75 people could be here at once."
While Smart reduces his property’s price to find a buyer soon, he isn’t leaving the Bulldogs anytime soon. With the University of Georgia offering him a $130 million contract until 2033, he is currently the highest-paid coach in the college football landscape.
Kirby Smart's wealth network is not limited to football
Kirby Smart's net worth is estimated at around $50 million (as per Celebrity Net Worth) as of 2024. This wealth comes from his coaching salary, lucrative endorsements, media compensation, and various investments.
Smart agreed to a 10-year, $130 million deal that includes a $1.75 million annual raise and huge performance bonuses. In 2024, his base salary will be $10.75 million, with increments scheduled to raise his earnings to $12.25 million by 2031.
Beyond his base salary, Smart rakes in an additional $6.4 million annually from media appearances, including news conferences, radio shows, and television appearances.
Endorsement deals, particularly with Nike, contribute another $3.5 million each year. He also has endorsement partnerships with Pepsi, Mercedes-Benz, and State Farm Insurance.
Performance-based incentives further boost Smart's income. For instance, he can earn a $300,000 bonus if he wins the SEC championship, $500,000 for qualifying in the Playoffs, and a hefty $1 million for winning the National Championship.
Smart also benefits from speaking engagements, book deals ("Kirby Smart: The Making of a Champion (2022)"), strategic investments in real estate (residential and commercial), and stocks, wrapping up his impressive portfolio.
