$6.1 mn NIL-valued Shedeur Sanders points out why owning a Private Island isn't worth it
Shedeur Sanders, with a $6.1 million NIL valuation (per On3), discussed why owning a private island might not be as appealing as it seems on his "2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders" podcast this past Tuesday. He invited freshman offensive lineman, Cash Cleveland, to talk about their recent win in Arizona on Saturday and the conversation took a fun turn to property preferences—four houses versus a private island.
“Four houses for you, because you want the equity,” Cleveland said [Timestamp - 25:42].
Sanders agreed but added:
“I'm just talking about changing locations,” he said. “I was saying like, I feel you up north, New York.”
The Buffaloes quarterback followed up with:
“You change scenery that one Island going to be there,” Sanders added. “You going to get tired. Palm trees and coconuts… Imagine Cash Island though.”
Sanders explained that while owning a private island is undeniably unique, it can get boring fast. Instead, he prefers the excitement of traveling to different locations, offering more variety and experiences.
Cleveland, who is aiming for the NFL, shared his bigger dreams:
“My goal is to go to the NFL,” he said. “Not only make money but while I'm making money provide for my family and everyone that has got me here and supported me through it all making sure they're good for the rest of their life.”
“That would be a fulfilling life for me, and making sure everyone that I love is fulfilled for their life,” he added.
Shedeur Sanders hints at Raiders interest after Tom Brady joins ownership
On his podcast, “2Legendary,” Shedeur Sanders shared his thoughts on Tom Brady becoming a part-owner of the Raiders. Sanders praised the move:
“Great thing for him,” he said. “You know, he did everything he can on the field, so off the field, I guess he is indulging a lot of different things now.” [Timestamp - 20:06]
“They said he is looking for a quarterback, so … we’ll see.”
Brady has also been personally coaching and mentoring Sanders, sparking even more speculation. While Brady’s influence and Sanders’ interest are intriguing, there’s no guarantee Sanders will be in silver-and-black next season.
