$6.2 million NIL-valued Shedeur Sanders goes viral for revealing Coach Prime’s current favorite child
No. 16-ranked Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders recently talked about his relationship with his father on episode 17 of his "2Legendary" podcast on Tuesday. Deion Sanders is the coach of the Colorado Buffaloes and father of Shedeur and Shilo Sanders. The brothers both play for the Buffaloes under their father.
Shedeur, who has an estimated NIL value of $6.2, spoke about how he does not think he is his father's favorite child at the moment. However, he was gracious in defeat.
"I think right now my dad's favorite, probably my little sister, because she went out there and she scored some points at her game. I think, I think she the favorite right now, and I start off the game with a pick. So I know I'm not the favorite right now. I know I'm not just a weekly change. It just changed week by week on performances and who does what."
He is giving credit to his sister Shelomi Sanders (Alabama A&M basketball player) in that comment, but he is also being humble. Shedeur Sanders is also coming off an impressive 49-24 win over Utah on Saturday. He was one of the driving forces of the offense, completing 30 of 41 passing attempts for 340 yards and three touchdowns. However, since he threw an interception, that might be why he thinks his dad's favorite is his sister Shelomi right now.
Shedeur Sanders has the highest NIL value in college football
After helping the Buffaloes (8-2, 6-1 Big 12) to a win over Utah, Sanders' NIL value increased. He already had the highest NIL value in college sports, but the gap widened after Saturday's game. His estimated value is up to $6.2 million, ahead of the number two-ranked contender, Livvy Dunne, at $4 million.
Sanders has such a high NIL value because of his sponsorship deals with several big-name companies. His biggest deal is with Nike, but he also has sponsorships with Beats by Dre, the 5430 Alliance, Google and more. The exact values of those deals are not public knowledge, so their value is an estimation based on On3's best intelligence.
Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes continue their push for the playoffs
Although Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are on a four-game winning streak, they must continue to win to make the playoffs. They are not positioned to make the playoffs in the new 12-team playoff format unless they win the Big 12. To ensure they have a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game, they must continue to win.
