After deactivating Instagram, Travis Hunter takes another bold step as fiancée faces backlash for controversial video

Social media backlash seems to be getting to Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter, who has gone offline and cut off the connection with his followers. Hunter deactivated his Instagram account on Sunday amid criticism toward his fiancee, Leanna Lenne, after an old video of her allegedly twerking with a man not named Hunter surfaced online.

After moving off Instagram, Hunter has taken another bold step: he has deactivated his TikTok account as well.

The video that sparked the controversy was posted on X by Akademiks TV, with the caption:

"Travis Hunter fiance was caught allegedly cheating on him at a party twerking on some dude in a highschool lebron jersey."

Another video making the rounds on social media was of Lenne in a music video with her alleged ex-boyfriend.

Travis Hunter defended his fiancee before going offline

Just days after the Heisman ceremony at Lincoln Center in New York, Leanna Lenne posted an eight-minute video where she addressed the allegations levied against her concerning her relationship with Travis Hunter. Despite her emotional message, some fans continued to throw shade at her.

Amid the backlash, Hunter said the intense criticism had got Lenne crying herself to sleep.

“She’s still sleeping, she’s slumped,” the Colorado Buffaloes star said on Twitch. "You know when you’re hurt but you just cry yourself to sleep and you just be gone? She drunk [sic], like, an OD amount tonight for no reason.”

Hunter was also critical of the allegations leveled at his soon-to-be wife.

“You ain’t never had no girl, so why are y’all talking about me?” the cornerback/wide receiver said. “Find something else to talk about … Go talk about your girl. Go find a girl. Go find a life. Stop worrying about what I got going on. I know what I got.”

Hunter and Lenne plan to get married next May.
