"All the Deion Sanders haters are awfully quiet tonight": CFB insider pokes fun at critics after Colorado beats UCF 48-21

Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes entered Saturday's game against the UCF Knights as underdogs but once they took the field, they started to dominate, proving their critics wrong.

Colorado's star quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw at an elite level and his offensive line held him for most of the game, which resulted in a dominating 48-21 victory.

Deion Sanders' presence in Boulder has elevated the program to new heights. With fame comes criticism, but there surely weren't many after the Colorados crushed the Knights. College football insider Joel Klatt had fun while pointing it out.

"All the @DeionSanders haters are awfully quiet tonight," he wrote on X.

Colorado's win should shut down many critics who found their voice after Deion Sanders' unit suffered a humiliating loss (28-10) at the hands of the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Week 2.

Paul Finebaum bullish on Deion Sanders' Colorado's prospect to win Big 12

A known critic of Deion Sanders and well known college football analyst, Paul Finebaum, is finally buying into the prospects of Colorado's chances to win the Big 12 this year. Saturday's win improved Colorado's record to 4-1 and a complete team effort seems to have convinced Finebaum to go "Paul in" on the program.

“I am ‘Paul In’ and for the first time since Prime got there two years ago, I think this is a legitimate football team,” Finebaum said on SportsCenter.
“It’s not about hype, it’s not about the stars, it’s about a football team that was the most impressive school to me of all yesterday, and I know that includes Alabama. But this team went on the road to a tough place, a big underdog, and they dominated, and they did it effectively."

Finebaum lavished praise on Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, who again made the highlights of the game.

“And of course, they had Travis Hunter and Shedeur (Sanders and) everything else that goes with Deion Sanders. But they looked like a real football team instead of a gimmick. And I could not be more impressed. And I think for the first time, they may be a legitimate contender in their league."

Shedeur Sanders threw for 290 yards and three touchdowns, which were caught by Will Sheppard, Travis Hunter and LaJohntay Wester.

Colorado, riding a three-game win streak, is placed second in Big 12 and is 2-0 in conference play, tied with Texas Tech and BYU.
