Arch Manning steals the show with massive 67-yard touchdown in first drive of his UTSA face-off

The Texas Longhorns' backup QB Arch Manning put on a good show in the Week 3 matchup against UTSA on Saturday night. Manning replaced the Longhorns star QB Quinn Ewers in the second quarter after he left the field with an apparent injury.

What came next excited the Longhorns' fans as Manning threw two back-to-back touchdowns to lead his team 28-7 in the second quarter. On the first snap he took, he threw a stunning pass to wideout DeAndre Moore Jr, who scored a 19-yard touchdown.

Arch's first touchdown against UTSA showcased his true Manning genes, but one of his best plays was yet to come. After UTSA responded with their first touchdown, Manning quickly tore through the Roadrunners' defense with his running game.

On his third snap, Arch Manning rushed 67 yards around a right edge to score a brilliant touchdown. The crowd at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium went wild as they watched Manning celebrate one of the finest plays of his career so far.

So far this season, Manning has had four touchdowns, scoring two in Week 1, with a 52-0 victory against Colorado State. In that game, he completed 5 of 6 passes for 95 yards, throwing one touchdown pass and adding a rushing touchdown.

Football fans had been pleading with Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian for more Manning action after he didn’t get a chance in Week 2. However, Quinn Ewers' injury early in the second quarter against Roadrunners gave him the perfect opportunity, and the nephew of NFL greats Peyton and Eli made the most of it.
